The news sites are working overtime today as they report about the rumor that Clay Aiken is considering running for the US House of Representative. I wrote some information last night (see earlier post) but woke up this morning to many more news items.

The Southerner reached stardom on the second season of the Fox singing competition in 2003.
Though he took second place, behind Ruben Studdard, he has released six albums and starred on Broadway in “Spamalot” from 2008 to 2009…

…A spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee couldn’t confirm if Aiken is planning to run, but said it’s no surprise Ellmers drew a challenger.
