How many American Idol contestants have had the opportunity to star in two TV specials? I am sure the list is very short, but on the top is Clay Aiken.
I would imagine there are many different emotions that evolve when you work as a star in a TV special…excitement, concern, happiness, frustration, pride, fear of failure…yes…it has got to be exciting, but a bit scary too.

The first time I saw the Tried & True special was when I bought the DVD. It is wonderful. I saw and have the Christmas special that Clay did but I don’t know if that is the special you are referring to. Someone let me know. Both CDs are wonderful. ❤️ UNCONDITIONAL love for you Clay. We travelled to Raleigh to watch Clay tape this PBS special. It was so exciting! Then got to watch it on TV, bought the DVD & album and can enjoy it whenever the mood strikes. Also have the DVD of the Christmas show with those beautiful songs including 'Mary Did You Know'. One of my all time favorites.
I have both DVDs – Christmas Show and PBS Special – also taped both shows from the TV. Got tickets for the Tour from our local PBS station – 3rd row seats and my daughter had a M&G with Clay at the show. A very exciting day! We also made the trip to Raleigh for the taping and that was beyond exciting! A super memory for sure – so “SPECIAL”!! Loved the Christmas Show from Idol and also Clay’s very own Christmas Special!
