It’s Saturday night in Raleigh, North Carolina. What do you decide to do? Well, if you are Clay Aiken, you visit the Meymandi Concert Hall to see your friend, Lisa Lampanelli perform.

Most of us know Lisa as “the Queen of Mean.” Lisa was part of the Celebrity Apprentice cast with Clay last season. She had gastric-sleeve surgery last April and has lost 80 pounds since Celebrity Apprentice days.
According to Wikipedia:
Lisa Lampanelli is an American stand-up comedian and insult comic. She is noted for her racy and controversial style of comedy, which frequently includes subjects such as race and homosexuality.
Clay also met Mike Morse at the performance. Mike tweeted the following joke and picture.
Mike Morse @mikemorsesays
Yeah that’s me with Clay Aiken… really nice guy and a great kisser… am I on the air? Oh crap… pic.twitter.com/6qOb7QX3
But…who is Mike Morse? According to his web-page:
A veteran stand-up comedian, Mike has brought his energetic act to clubs and theatres across North America, including venues in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Montreal. Whether performing at the Borgata Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas’ Riviera Comedy Club, or NYC’s Caroline’s Comedy Club, his unique style makes him a headlining favorite wherever he performs.
He was recently a part of the New York Underground Comedy Festival, and for the past two years, he has been the opening act for Comedy’s Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli.
I hope they all had a great time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MEASURE OF A MAN!
It is hard to realize that it has been nine years since Clay Aiken released his first album titled Measure of A Man.
I don’t think we can even imagine what it was like for Clay. He must have felt a combination of excitement, awe, amazement, fear, fatigue, and hopefully, lots of fun!! It was his first time jumping into the blender and going round and round and round!!
Clay found himself in Los Angeles and New York, making the rounds of all the important shows, singing and charming the hosts and audiences with his talent and charm. And who ever thought Clay would sell 612,859 albums in one week!! It is still a record. No other American Idol has even come close to that first week number.
Congratulations, Clay…Take a moment to look back at what you have accomplished. You should feel good!!
The following pictures are from three stops the first week of Measure of A Man
What an exciting time!!!
