Wednesday was a busy day for Clay Aiken and those who follow his appearances. The day started out with a tweet from Clay:
Clay Aiken; Trump You’re Fired #trump #Drumpf2016https://t.co/X9lT656SdH
Yes…Clay wrote an outstanding new blog for the Huff-Post. Clay started out the blog…
Trump, You’re Fired.
Dear Mr. Trump,
Maybe it takes one to know one. Maybe the fact that I have lost three times on a national scale has given me a special insight. But I can assure you, I know one when I see one, and you, Donald Trump, are a loser.
I took the liberty of looking up the word “delusion” for you since your advisors clearly haven’t. According to the dictionary, delusion is “a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary.” Frankly, I can’t think of a better word to describe your campaign.
You can’t win. The majority doesn’t like you….
I hope you will go over to Huff-Post and read the entire blog. Clay had a lot to say and it is a very interesting blog. You can read the entire article at YOU’REFIRED

A few minutes later, it was announced that Clay would be on Yahoo News Live at 12:30 pm on Wednesday. Clay chatted with Bianna Golodryga and discussed Trump’s presidential candidacy and the ongoing debate over the LGBT law passed in his home state.
You can see a video of the conversation with Clay at YAHOOLIVE . There is also a write-up about the conversation at the Yahoo site. What an excellent conversation. Clay knows so much about North Carolina politics. I always learn a lot when I listen to him.
About one hour later, Clay was on CNN. He talked with Pamela Brown about North Carolina’s House Bill 2. Clay talked about Governor Pat McCrory and how the bill was passed. Clay said that the law wouldn’t include sexual orientation and gender identity as categories protected from discrimination. When asked how the bill passed, Clay said:
Well, one of the reasons it passed is because they did it sort of in the dark of night. They did it under cover, came back from recess to pass this law. And because they did it secretively, they didn’t have the issue that Georgia had just this last week where Nathan Deal had pressure, he had not signed the law yet, not done anything with it, he had pressure from Disney and a lot of movie studios to take business out of Georgia. Since North Carolina snuck this in under the wire and Governor McCrory didn’t have the pressure from the companies who have come out and spoke against it, they were able to get it through without having that backlash.
I think, you know, the Republicans in the general assembly have miscalculated. They believe this is something to give them cover in an election year, but the people of North Carolina — North Carolina’s a purple state at best now, and the people of North Carolina are certainly paying attention to this. And they’re recognizing that the GOP in North Carolina has made it a bathroom issue, but this law goes so much further than that. It’s — it doesn’t —
Unfortunately, CNN does not usually post a video of their shows so I could not find any pictures and video.
Yes, Wednesday was a great day. I am so glad that Clay is being asked to participate in so many different shows. It really must be exciting for him!
Did you see Clay on TV on Wednesday?
