What an amazing day for Clay Aiken.  He started Sunday by appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation on a panel about gay marriage.  Aiken seemed at ease throughout his section of the program and spoke with knowledge and passion about the topic.  He certainly held his own as he talked with the seasoned members of the panel.

Almost 12 hours later, it was announced that Clay was a finalist on the show, Celebrity Apprentice.  Up against Arsenio Hall, Clay was busy planning a huge fund-raiser for his charity, The National Inclusion Project.

The following are some of the many articles and reviews that have already been published.  As in the past weeks,  I have quoted a few Clay mentions from the articles and provided a link so that you can read the entire article.  And, if you have time, a positive comment left at the sites is a good way to show the site you appreciate their article about Clay.

The screen-caps today are from the CB

Clay’s Take – Week 14 – And Then There Were Two

… Well… I guess one way to look at it all is… I now can’t do any worse on this show than I did on my last one.

… I also knew I would like to have Penn. I respect Penn’s mind. He’s brilliant and creative, and I wanted Mr. Trump (AND PENN) to know that I harbored no ill will against him.

… Debbie Gibson is a musical prodigy. She may sing her stuff a LOT!! ;-) But when it comes to writing music, arranging and playing, she is like few people I have ever met. Building a medley of songs and getting them arranged in a great way was so important. Debbie was my first musical pick.

Be sure and stop by Clay’s blog and read the entire article.  Clay’s backstage info is so interesting…and don’t forget to leave a comment.  Clay could use our support this week! You can find the blog at CLAYSTAKE

EW.COM – That Magic Moment

By Dalton Ross

… Once Aubrey was dismissed, Clay Aiken began experiencing American Idol déjà vu. Would he once again lose out on an elusive reality show title? You know, Clay and Ruben Studdard had such a nice friendship. They were complete opposites — one big and black, the other lanky and white — but they shared one thing in common, an incredible ability to reach out and touch audiences through the power of song. I think when you look back at their relationship on American Idol, however, what really stands out the most is the fact that Ruben never once threatened “getting in your ass.”

… Cut to Aubrey looking mortified at being unpicked and taking the walk of shame over to Clay’s team. “Haters are hating once again,” she informed us. They certainly are.

… Outside of Magic Johnson talking to nobody, Arsenio has had a pretty smooth ride so far. No so for Clay, who spent half of the task wandering the streets of New York while getting yelled at by little league baseball coaches and making little kids break the law by hopping a fence to shoot his ad in a restricted area. And then things got even worse when he met up with the rest of the team. Little did Clay realize he would be butting heads constantly with Crystal Light songstress Debbie Gibson.

… Then came Round 3, in which Clay and Debbie argued about the mural that Debbie’s cousin was going to paint. Clay was insistent that nothing go on the wall until he could approve a sketch of it. As Project Manager, that’s smart. I mean, no offense, but are you going to trust a $250,000 prize to Debbie Gibson’s cousin? What if she puts up a big mural of the Electric Youth album cover? You can’t risk it. “Paint will not go on the wall unless I’ve seen some sketches,” said Clay. Before all was said and done, Debbie was calling Clay “insecure” and Clay was correcting how Debbie spoke on the phone to her own cousin. Which is exactly the type of cliffhanger drama you want heading into a finale. Well, that and a very confused man standing sideways.

Dalton always writes a great blog.  Be sure and click on EWCOM to read the entire article.

A.V.Club – And Then There Were Two

By Margaret Eby

… Aubrey gets chosen last, but she has tentative support for her manager. “Clay’s always bugged me as a person,” she said, “but now I kind of like him.”

… The collection of players on Clay’s team are almost all musicians, except for Penn, who Clay chose specifically to show that he could work with someone he doesn’t agree with. He’s also got Aubrey under his wing. She’s enthusiastic, but hard to reign in.

… Clay also smartly delegates a specific task to everyone off the bat. Debbie does music, Aubrey’s in charge of decoration, and Penn and Dee work on the PSA.

…  The major drama on their team is between Debbie and Clay, after Debbie gets her cousin to take off work and paint a mural. Clay won’t have her start until he sees a mock-up of her idea, which frustrates Debbie to no end.

TheaterMania – Clay Aiken Named Finalist On NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice

By Brian Scott Lipton
Broadway star and singer Clay Aiken and comedian Arsenio Hall are the finalists on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, with the winner to be revealed on Sunday, May 20. The winner will receive $250,000. The series is hosted by business mogul Donald Trump

Aiken is perhaps best known for his appearances on FOX’sAmerican Idol, and was seen on Broadway in Monty Python’s Spamalot, playing the role of Sir Robin. He has also released numerous CD, including his most recent one, Stead Fast.

E-ONLINE – Will Clay Aiken or Arsenio Hall Crack Under Pressure?

By Rebecca Macatee

…Clay decided to put on a musical show, asking Debbie for musical advice and Penn to help write and conceptualize. Clay and Debbie, however, quickly began to spar over music choices and Debbie’s desire to have her cousin to paint a mural without Clay seeing any sketches beforehand.

…  Clay, a former special education teacher, was happy and right in his element when working with children for a National Inclusion Project PSA—the National Inclusion Project provides a program model for recreational programs so that all different types of kids can play together.

… Clay and his team seemed to be focusing on every detail of their production, and not concentrating on raising funds.

NJ.com – Arsenio Hall vs. Clay Aiken (vs. lots of egos)

By Vicki Hyman

… In the opening boardroom, Clay tells Trump he belongs in the finale because he’s a hard worker and he’s been considered a strong player throughout — plus he’s been on the winning team seven times.

… Create, host and sell tickets to a celebrity variety show, plus create a 30-second commercial for their charities. The winner gets the grand prize, $250,000 for his charity — Clay’s is the National Inclusion Project, which trains schools and summer camps to extend curriculum and programs to children with disabilities…

… When Don Trump comes to visit, he’s impressed by the work they’re doing on the show but worries that they’re not really working on fundraising. Clay finally gets moving on the fundraising, but their team doesn’t seem to be racking up a lot of donations.

… Debbie and Clay keep clashing, first over the music, then over Debbie’s cousin’s mural. Clay insists on seeing some sketches, but Debbie is annoyed because her cousin rearranged her schedule to work on the project and hasn’t been able to come up with a final sketch yet. “While I absolutely appreciate that, I sorta don’t care,” Clay tells us. Debbie thinks he’s treating her like a child. “If that’s the way the tides are turning right now,” Debbie tells us, “I don’t belong here.” Oh, the drama!

… Lisa calls Clay and offers to give him a check because he helped her out so much on her big win for the Gay Men’s Health Crisis. Classy move.

Buddy TV – A Race To The Finish

By Esther Gim

… it’s Arsenio and Clay battling it out in the finals. May the best man win!

… Penn, meanwhile, gets under Clay’s skin from the start. Although this time, I side with Penn when he says the concept for the PSA seems offensive. Penn’s problem is that when he criticizes or shoots down an idea, he doesn’t offer any sort of solution. With Clay, you need to do that.

… Clay, meanwhile, stresses out with a lot of responsibility, though he tries really hard not to show it. Penn points out Clay’s teeth grinding as a way to know when he’s stressed.

… Clay is competing for the National Inclusion Project, a charity that he started. But with the task taking up a lot of their time, they start making calls way later. The only big name that comes up is … Lisa Lampanelli!  While she’s helping Arsenio, she said she’s bringing a check for Clay as they had a good relationship on the show, and he helped her many times. I thought that was incredibly sweet and can’t recall that ever happening before.

… On Clay’s team, Debbie’s about to erupt and it’s put a really sour mood on the whole atmosphere. I understand Clay wanting to make sure that whatever happens in the event, he wants to see it beforehand. And he told Debbie this too, but she conveniently forgets. So she takes offense to Clay wanting to see everything and says he doesn’t trust her. To Clay’s credit, I wouldn’t trust Debbie either.

Clay Aiken – “A Decent, Intelligent Human Being”

I’m exhausted!!  This happens every week.  It starts at 9:00pm Sunday night and continues for at least 24 hours.  Can you imagine how the stars of Celebrity Apprentice feel?  After a task like Jingle All The Way Home, they must feel beat up!!

It is just a few hours after the end of episode 11 of Celebrity Apprentice.  Already, there are many reviews, blogs and articles about the show.

As it has been for the last few Monday’s, I am listing a few of the many articles, quoting some of the interesting parts, and providing a link to the entire article.

I do want to remind you all that it is important that we give the sites hits on their page.  Hits are important to Internet sites as they move the site up in the search and also let the site know if the article is successful.  And…anyone who posts articles enjoys comments.  It’s the best way the reader can let the site know they enjoyed the article.

OK…Here We Go!!

Clay Aiken’s Blog – Clay’s Take is posted at the NBC/Celebrity Apprentice site.  It really helps to understand what was going on.  One thing stood out to me.  Clay wrote:

I went and tried to discuss with Dayana how what she had said upset Lisa. Despite having incredible conversational English, Dayana sometimes mixes up words, and what she explained to me was that when she said “loud,” she was just trying to say Lisa was a strong player. I tried to tell her that praising me for all of my work and then not recognizing that Lisa had done a LOT as well was enough to be insulting. She said okay, but I don’t think it mattered to her. Her apology to Lisa was pretty insincere. But the blood between the two of them is so bad now by week 12 that I don’t think anything would smooth it over.

EW.COM –The Celebrity Apprentice’ recap:  Jingle (And Argue) All The Way

By Dalton Ross

… A lot of incredible things happened during this episode of The Celebrity Apprentice, from the eruption of Mt. Lampanelli, to the rare loss of composure by Clay Aiken

… Poor Dayana. At least she had someone around to be nice to her in Clay. Or did she? Nope, even the usually calm, cool, and collected Clay lost patience with Miss Universe. “Dayana is the most frustrating person I have ever met in my life. I spent years teaching kids with disabilities and never have I had to draw on that type of patience since I’ve been in a classroom more than I did this task.”

… it was somewhat shocking to see Clay snap as he did when Dayana asked him to simply move from stage right to stage left. Clay freaked out, trapping Dayana’s hand between his own, and yelling about being “a grown ass man.” First time I’ve seen the singer lose his composure this season, and all I can say is…ABOUT TIME! Get with the program, Aiken! Don’t you know what show you’re on? Stop being such a decent and intelligent human being, immediately!

NewsObserver – Happiness Is A Warm TV – Jingle all the way

by togburn

…Filling in for Brooke on “The Celebrity Apprentice” recap this week — the first episode since Clay Aiken‘s brush with firing. And our North Carolina home boy has another rough go of it as he gets caught between the ever-battling Bickersons — comedian Lisa Lampanelli and former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza.

… Because Clay, center, was project manager last week, he agrees to let Dayana, right, handle it this week. Hmmm, this could be a problem, seeing as how he’s a professional singer and she knows so little about music that Clay actually has to explain to her that a jingle has nothing to do with “Jingle Bells.” Still, he and Lisa, left, try to teach her. And for a while, they listen patiently while Dayana suggests a jingle that sounds like Duran Duran. Cause we all know RV drivers can’t get enough “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

…Clay and Lisa come up with a ’60s-style “Good Sam” jingle that, to my ears, sounded a lot like the old “Good Times” TV theme song. After Dayana’s failed first attempts at songwriting — they have to explain to her that the words “man” and “track” don’t rhyme — she agrees to go with Clay and Lisa’s jingle, those she does want to add a hippie to the performance. (Um, wrong part of the ’60s there, Dayana.)

…In perhaps her most hypocritical moment of the episode, Aubrey — just minutes after touting the good work of her charity, which aims to stop the bullying of kids — bullies Arsenio by suggesting that he likely tap dances at home in a cheerleading skirt. You stay classy, Aubrey.

…  Clay also blows up when Dayana tries to tell him how to perform the “Good Sam” song. “Either take over and tell me what to do or shut up and let me do what I know how to do,” he snaps.

… Through it all, our man Clay sits quietly, though his facial expressions are priceless. When Trump finally asks him to speak, Clay says what everybody is thinking — Dayana just didn’t do much.

…  Be careful, Clay.

The Washington Times – Communities - final five Aiken, Arsenio, Aubrey, Lisa, Teresa

By GAYLE FALKENTHAL
Clay Aiken, 32, American Idol runner-up. Charity: The National Inclusion Project. Odds: 8-1. Aiken has already put himself on the toughest public stage there is, “American Idol.” I predicted he might hang in there longer than expected. Has he ever. The Claymates are going to love seeing me eat crow. They told me their man Aiken would perform well, and I’m convinced. He’s been smart, strategic, and he’s shown more edge than I thought he possessed which has served him well.

At the beginning of the season, this site rated all the celebrities.  In their first article, they had Clay almost at the bottom of the list.  Good to see that they are coming around!

A.V.Club – Celebrity Apprentice

…“Jingle All The Way” was teased as the episode in which Dayana drives her team into lunacy, and damn if it didn’t deliver. Her choice to take over on a task out of her wheelhouse was clearly a political move. With either Lisa or Clay at the helm, there’s no way Dayana would have a voice anyone listened to. As project manager, she still doesn’t, exactly, but she has the chance to take credit for an Aiken-sung jingle if it goes well, and to duck out of the way if it doesn’t. Unfortunately, it’s not just that music isn’t Dayana’s forte (ba-dum!). It’s more that she’s completely unfamiliar anything outside of Duran Duran. When she asks in the car if jingles had to do with Christmas music, Clay puts on his mask of infinite patience to explain to her that they weren’t while Lisa winces.

… But Dayana, intentionally or not, gets in quite a few passive aggressive digs at her teammates. As Clay’s explaining how song-writing works, Dayana throws up her hands and says, “Can we just call Debbie Gibson?” Clay and Lisa keep it civil, save for some eye rolls at Dayana’s attempt to rhyme “track” and “Sam” and her request to have the song sound more “yellow,” until Don Jr. comes in and asks about the process.

… It’s not all Lisa and Dayana, either. During rehearsal, Dayana attempts to assert some leadership by offering suggestions to Clay on where he should stand. This is Dayana’s modus operandi: Come in with a suggestion that seems small at a time of high stress. Like, “take it to the 1980s” or “add hippies here.” Clay’s veneer of patience cracks, and he lashes out at her. But they’re all professionals, and the show must go on. Clay and Lisa turn out a cute, nostalgic, Frankie Valli-esque jingle with Clay’s dulcet tones and Lisa’s quick-thinking lyrics. Dayana stage manages and comes out to mumble a hello at the end.

…OK, who wants to give Clay Aiken a cameo on Mad Men?

Reality Wanted – The Celebrity Apprentice Season 5: Episode 11 Recap

By Todd Betzold

…Team Forte determines that Clay must be singing for the jingle. Dayana wants to throw out words that rhyme, but Clay says they need to get the melody first…he is getting frustrated because this is his forte, but he is not project manager and feels Dayana is not suited for this task.

…For Team Forte, Clay and Lisa come up with a ‘50s-‘60s theme for the jingle, which Dayana wants to then bring it up to the ‘80s.

… The musicians arrive and work with Team Forte…Dayana doesn’t understand the music genres, so they have to go through the songs to get her on board. She eventually likes the ‘60s theme and then wants the band to add some pink into the song…let the reins go and let Clay take over Dayana.

… Team Forte starts writing the lyrics for the jingle…Lisa is writing them and Dayana wants to do it together, which Lisa is over. They finally get Clay in the studio to sing and Dayana is trying to take over…telling him to sing this way or that way and we should have girls singing it. Then Lisa goes in to speak some words and Dayana says to speak in a nicer tone…both Lisa and Clay want to kill her. Clay said she is trying to take charge of something she has no clue on how to do it.

…Dayana is worried about having a ‘60s theme onstage for the presentation as well and wants to bring a hippie up there, but Clay and Lisa shoot down that idea.

… Team Forte gets to the dance studio for rehearsals and Clay is working with the backup singers and dancers when Dayana steps in to give him advice, which finally sets Clay off. This is what he does and she wants to give her advice, yet again. Either tell him what to do or let him do his thing…she finally backs off and tells him to do it.

… Clay finally gets a chance to talk and says he agrees with what Lisa has said.

E-Online – Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Whose Voice Cracked Under Pressure?

Today 8:44 PM PDT by NATALIE ZURAWIN

…  Dayana felt upstaged by her teammates when they chose a ’60s theme. As soon as Clay Aiken put his singing chops to work, Dayana put in her two cents—actually, more like 50 Cent, hounding him with “21 Questions.” While Dayana reigns as Miss Universe, Clay is president of ClayNation, so shouldn’t he get the final say when it comes to writing a song?

CarterMatt.com – The Celebrity Apprentice review: Clay Aiken, Dayana Mendoza, and Good Sam

…The only thing that made this whole ordeal even worse was that Dayana decided that she wanted to play the leader, and tried to give advice to Clay about how to perform on stage. He was a ticking time bomb for much of the challenge, but eventually he exploded on her and pretty much laid down the law — if you want him to actually do a good job, you actually have to let him do the job that he is trained to do (especially since he does a darn fine job at it).

… Despite this team being more combative, we actually thought that their Good Sam jingle was far and away better. It had a retro feel, was catchy, and the performance did not smell of old cheese. With that being said, Dayana shouldn’t have ruined the performance by coming out at the end out of costume.

Clay Aiken – Drama, Tears, Laughs and Talent

It is Sunday night and millions of people just finished watching Episode 9 of Celebrity Apprentice.  The show, titled Puppet-Up was filled with tears and drama and laughs and great talent.

To most of the reviewers, the true star of the evening was Clay Aiken.  For those who only know Clay as a singer, they were surprised and pleased that Clay is intelligent, able to speak in many accents, funny and quick with “off-the-cuff” remarks…perfect for a night of Improv.

It is late, but I do want to post some reviews that I found on the Internet within hours of the broadcast of the show.  I am not taking the time to make it “pretty”, just making sure you have the links to these sites.  The quotes that I list are only parts of the articles and will only be about Clay.

Clay’s Celebrity Apprentice Blog

I am so glad that Clay writes some back-stage information in his blogs.  He has a way with words and it is always fun to read what he has to say about the show.

E-Online -     Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Which Celeb Wocka-Walked Away From the Boardroom Empty Handed? by NATALIE ZURAWIN

… Right before the show began, Lisa blew up at Dayana, who finally broke down and cried. She explained that she tries to treat Lisa better than Lisa treats her, and couldn’t take it anymore. Meanwhile Lisa cried too. Clay Aiken suggested that Lisa is constantly intimidated by Dayana’s beauty.

…As we know, the show must go on, and Team Forte seemed to pull all the right strings. Lisa and Clay performed with their puppets, and the audience went wild. Clay practically stole the show.

NJ.com   By Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger

…At the start of the episode, Lisa and Dayana Mendoza return from the boardroom sans Lou Ferrigno, and Lisa is crowing about it, which Clay Aiken finds obnoxious. Lisa then threatens to direct her yapper at Clay, so he shuts up. Aubrey O’Day says she hopes Trump splits up Clay and Arsenio Hall. Indeed, Clay moves over to Lisa’s team.

…Clay says that if he were Lisa, he would have given Dayana more to do.

…In the dressing room before the show, Clay suggests that Dayana should stand to the side and help people get their puppets on and off, just so she looks like she has something to do.

…Lisa sobs. “Is it all my responsibility to handle her every (bleeping) task? And no one here can step in, ever?” Um, isn’t that what Clay was doing? Giving Dayana a task?

…We only see bits and pieces of the show, but Clay and Lisa seem to do well. Lisa nitpicks that Penn didn’t signal the end of a particular scene soon enough, but it was a professional show — as it should be, with two professional comedians in charge.

…The judges thought Penn, Lisa and Clay did a great job, and that Dayana’s puppets were well done, but they dinged Penn for missing a couple of cues and felt one of the skits was a little too blue.

…Right away, Lisa clashed with her nemesis, Dayana Mendoza.  Lisa figured that with years of experience under their belts, she should take the stage with Penn Jillette and Clay Aiken, placing Dayana behind the scenes.  Of course, the former Miss Universe had hoped to be front of the audience, so she copped a little ‘tude that carried into the boardroom.  And that’s when things really got weird.

Buddy TV - The Celebrity Apprentice’ Recap: Stuffed and Unstrung

Esther Gim
Contributing Writer

…This week on Celebrity Apprentice, with the team of Lisa, Penn and Dayana (Forte) down to three, Clay is moved over to join them for the latest task…create, design, and execute a puppet/improv show.  Lisa volunteers as project manager for FOrte…she says she’s the only one who hasn’t won a task…while Paul bites the bullet for Forte, albeit very reluctantly.

…Clay thries to cool down the fire but doesn’t really try, which later Lisa gets pissed off about.  If Lisa has something against you, there’s no middle ground.

… I’m so impressed with Clay’s improv skills.  He even changes his voice at one point, and I didn’t even realize it was him!  He and Lisa have a lot of chemistry on stage.

EW.Com – The Celebrity Apprentice’ recap:  The Puppet Masters

Dalton Ross ( Always a fun read – don’t skip this one)  EWCOM

…When we last left Lisa and Dayana, they had kissed and made up after Dayana proved herself to be a competent Project Manager. And when things first started this week it appeared a Lisa-Clay feud could be brewing instead. “We did it. Good riddance,” Lisa bragged after returning from Lou’s firing. “We did it?” Clay responded. “You act like you had some accomplishment of some kind… He’s still a person.”

When Trump then moved Clay over to team Forte to even out the numbers, one had to expect trouble, but instead of Clay, it was Dayana that once again placed herself right in Lisa’s line of fire

…Clay chalked Lisa’s anger up to possibly being jealous over Dayana being “beautiful, screw beautiful — stunning.

…Hot damn, Ivanka looked crazy hot in the Boardroom this week in her red dress and flowing locks. Her beauty even enraged the normally mellow and normally homosexual Clay Aiken. I really have nothing to add to that but thought it would be nice to go on out that image of Ivanka to carry me through the week until we meet once again in the Boardroom under the watchful and somewhat befuddled gaze of Donald Trump.

A.V. Club  By Margaret Eby

… Trump walks into FAO Schwarz like he’s about to condemn the place, and announces to both teams that Clay will be migrating over to Forte. Arsenio and Clay had begun to form a Lisa and Aubrey-like alliance, minus thebitching about Dayana, so Trump’s move was clearly to shake them out of their clique. It’s certainly not as serious a move as switching Aubrey to Unanimous, though. Clay’s nature is far more conciliatory, and he manages to work in well to the unhappy little family that Lisa, Dayana, and Penn created.

…Clay learned some puppetry at church long ago, but it serves him well. His southern lady voice kept pace with Lisa’s wisecracks laudably. Penn does the ringleader thing well, but doesn’t quite cut the skits at the right time. Still, it’s no surprise when Trump announces that Forte wins, much to the relief of Lisa…

Reality TV Magazine  by Shayla Perry

…To Aubrey’s delight, Clay Aiken will be moving to Team Forte, where Lisa’s going to serve as Project Manager; kind of an obvious choice considering the task

…Both Dayana and Lisa are in tears, but by the time they hit the stage(well, Lisa, anyway) everyone is all smiles and Penn gets the show off to a great start, followed by an almost flawless performance from Lisa and Clay.  And Dayana did a really good job of um-watching.

It is 11:30PM, Sunday night.    This post will be a list of  links to articles  available about the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  Pretty?  Lots of Graphics?  NO…It is late and the info needs to be out there.  I hope it will make your morning a bit easier.

This was a great episode for Clay Aiken.  He was an integral part of the team and  got a ton of face time on the show. We saw Clay, the fighter, the teacher, the friend, and mediator.  What an exciting show.

The following is a list of the different articles that are already up on the Internet about the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  I will update the post tomorrow if there are many other links.

NJ.com - Celebrity Apprentice’ recap: Nobody puts Lou Ferrigno in the corner!  The following are some quotes about Clay.

….The guys, however, surprised me by supporting Lou. And a few of guys, notably Clay Aiken, turned on Penn Jillette, who has been a standout player so far. Or maybe that’s precisely why they turned on him. The upshot: Some of the guys feel that Penn is condescending and negative….Clay feels that Penn approaches each task like he’s preparing his defense in the boardroom, and Dee believe that Penn seems to be overthinking things. Finally Clay says it aloud: Some people seem to be setting Lou up to fail by shooting down every idea, and accused Penn of being condescending. Penn apologizes but appears to be rattled….Later, Penn tells Clay that he was hurt because people have often condescended to him. Clay says that Penn always wants to be the boss. This conversation goes nowhere, but I’m guessing it will be continued in the boardroom…. At the video shoot, Lou is having troubles with his lines, particularly with pronouncing “dirt” because of his hearing impediment, but Clay coaches him….

There is lots more and I recommend this article.  On a quick read, it seems to be fair and objective.  You can see the entire article at NJCOM

A.V.CLUB is a site that has an article about Celebrity Apprentice.    The following is from their article:

….The task they signed up to direct was one of the more confusingly introduced challenges on Celebrity Apprentice to date. Trump brings the teams to the New York Public Library to admire the floors as a segue into the challenge sponsor, O-Cedar mops. Gotta keep those historic floors clean somehow! Both teams have to figure out a way to make a viral video for the new pro-mist spray mop that incorporates a new marketing theme….Clay Aiken has been lying in wait for a while, silently disapproving of things, but this episode was the first one where he spoke out, stewing at Penn’s criticisms until he looked like an enraged leprechaun, and then accusing Penn of “setting Lou up to fail.”…

This one is not kind to Clay Aiken.  I think he has pre-conceived ideas and probably never even watched the show.  However, it is out there and you can read it at AVCLUB

ZAP 2 IT was one of the first to post an article on Sunday night.  The article is titled:  Celebrity Apprentice:  Tia Carrere’s number is up.

There is very little about Clay, but it is a fair article.  Click on ZAP2IT to read the entire article.

Reality TV Magazine has an interesting article about the O’Cedar Mop episode.  Veronica Dudo, the write of this article had is to say about Clay:

….Clay confronts Penn at the table and says if Penn doesn’t like an idea could he instead suggest one. Arsenio and Clay work to try and help Lou since there is some animosity on the men’s team. Eventually, they decide to feature Lou dancing while mopping the flooring–the opposite of what people would think of when they look at him. His tag-line is, “I’m going to mop the floor with you.”….

You can read the entire article at REALITYTV

Buddy TV has a nice article about the show.  It is realistic and positive.  I like the following that they wrote about Clay and the men’s team:

But before any of that happens, the men are gathered around brainstorming, and all Penn can do is shoot down idea after idea. When all of these disagreements and fights happen, I wonder how much creative editing is done. With Penn, he does come off as condescending, as Clay tells him later, and as someone who wants to see Lou fail. And it’s really cute to see Arsenio and Clay really help him because they genuinely want to see him succeed.

Thanks to Esther Gim, the Contributing Writer of this article.  She gets it!!  The following is the link for this article:  BUDDY

From London, England, comes an article from the Daily Mail.   IONA KIRBY, the author of this article writes the following:

However it wasn’t all smooth sailing as the boys quickly clashed and it was Clay Aiken who stood up to the rest of the team, particularly Penn Jillette, as he said: ‘I feel like there are people in this room who are setting Lou up to fail.’

The pair later sat down to try and hash it out after their argument.

….Penn said: ‘People have always dealt with me in a slightly condescending way. I have never felt more set up in my life and I’m very worried about it.’…Clay told the cameras: ‘I never dislike anyone but with Penn when I try to find a silver lining I can’t.….They tried to resolve their issues but their differences were too great and their conversation went nowhere….

This is an article that doesn’t seem to take sides and is a good read.  You can read the entire article at DAILYMAIL

Mr. Blog’s Tepid Ride is one of my favorite articles so far.   I know nothing about the blog, but I do like what he says about Clay and his role on the show:

Audrey O’Day: “I am not stepping up to be project manager because this brand has been around a hundred years, just like Tia.”  She is really a shitty person, isn’t she? Presumably she went on this show for exposure but she is just being exposed as vapid self-absorbed. “I might be permanently deaf in this ear from Dayana’s bad ideas.” “Tia refuses to use me and I want to sock her in the face.” She needs to sock whoever advised her to go on this show because it has elevated her from barely known singer to widely known pain in the ass.

….“If it is not Penn’s idea all he wants to do is point out negatives.” – Clay. He got very frustrated and voiced his worry that some people in the room (meaning Penn) were trying to set Lou up to fail, and of course that would take the team with him. I have not always been very complimentary to Clay Aiken in the pastbut he has impressed me on this show so far with his professionalism and dedication. “You don’t have a way but you have a hundred this-is-not-the-ways.”Once Clay got the team back on track they took Lou’s idea and made something good out of it. (But we’ll see what happens in the execution later.) Penn took Clay’s challenge really badly and sulked. He even said that working with people he didn’t choose was a bad idea. Who would expect Clay Aiken to challenge Penn Jillette and win?

….Clay tried to work things out with Penn, but Penn was still sulking and took it personally and believed that Clay didn’t like him. “I have never felt more set up.” I like the guy, have a ton of respect for h is intelligence, and love his stage act, but he is acting like a two-year old. Clay spoke, Penn sulked. “I don’t feel like there is any solution to this at all,” Clay said.

In the boardroom Paul, Dee, Arsenio, and Clay all praised Lou. If it was honest, they all loved him.

If he loses, who does Lou bring back? Paul and Penn. “He is a bull in a china closet with a superior attitude.” I think of the three Paul will clearly survive. I think he picked Paul only because he realized that Paul was the only other one to be criticized. Penn he picked for not being a team player. Clay backed him up “Penn has admitted that he doesn’t like not being in charge. If it is not his decision he will disengage. He has a tendency to become condescending.” Dee said he was a “fact checker” and “there seemed to be an emotional disconnect.”

Penn: “I believe I did some writing and some typing.” Not a great defense.

Aresnio: “I was proud of the man [Clay]. He stepped to [Penn}.”

Carter has another good article.  the following is what he says about Clay, the men and Aubrey…

However, Lou’s performance did not mean that some of his fellow team members were going to avoid going for the jugular — in particular, Clay Aiken had to step in to stop a rather harsh and condescending Penn Jillette from setting himself up to do well in the boardroom by preparing to throw Lou under the bus. While we supported Clay at first with this, we actually thought he was a little condescending to Penn later by more or less laughing in his face when the man tried to explain why he operates the way he does.

First, we have to say that Aubrey pretty much made us barf by saying that she wants to be a part of Donald Trump’s family, and then she made up barf again by listening to her talk about how arrogant she is. Can we just fire her instead? She’s certainly effective, but she’s also insufferable.

ACE ShowBiz has a short article about the show.. You can read it at ACE

E-Online also has a short article about the show.  You can see it at E-ONLINE

I am sure there will be many more article by the time I get up tomorrow…however, I hope this list helps you enjoy the show and at least you can find the links in one place.

Clay’s Blog for NBC is now up.  You can read it at. CABLOG

I will add more on Monday…maybe I can add some Clay tweets to the page.

What did you think of the show?  Did you think Clay was fair in what he said to Penn?

Some new video of Clay Aiken has been released today by E-Online.  It is fun to see new information about Clay’s performance on TV this week.  However, isn’t it too bad that E seems to forget to check their facts.  According to their site, Clay is, at this time, involved in Spamalot on Broadway.  Hmmmm!!!

If you want to read the entire article click  here.

E has posted two videos and one is new.  It is fun.    Enjoy!!

Quote of the Day

It is not always about performance art, but about receiving positive energy from people with positive spirits. Sometimes we can see someone's spirit, and those are the people with great energy. Those are the people that get me through the day, especially on Broadway. -Clay Aiken
